WOOLSTOOL
Sheeps have been grazing both within and surrounding the village of Iris van Nunen for as long as she can remember. The Kempen heath sheep, which lost its significance for agriculture, has been bred again for grazing protected areas in the Netherlands for the past 30 years.
As wool remains a byproduct, van Nunen aims to emphasize its potential by finding a new way to utilize this material. From the woolen yarn, van Nunen created a rope that is being woven through the stool. Using an ancient basket weaving technique, the woolen rope becomes the soft seat of the stool.
